Overview:
Insurance companies are legally obligated to act in good faith when dealing with their clients. Unfortunately, many insurers fail to do this, resulting in bad faith allegations. In recent years, however, several US states have taken measures to reduce the hurdles in establishing insurance bad faith claims. This has resulted in better protection for policyholders and an increased risk of litigation to ensure companies’ accountability.
Now more than ever, insurance carriers and their counsel must keep up with recent statutes and court rulings to effectively handle and prevent potential liability claims.
Join a panel of key thought leaders and practitioners organized by The Knowledge Group as they provide an overview of the latest trends and developments in insurance coverage and bad faith litigation. Speakers will, among other things, offer helpful insights on how to minimize risks and maximize opportunities in the litigation process.
Key issues that will be covered in this course are:
- Insurance Bad Faith Litigation: An Overview
- Recent Case Law and Notable Court Decisions
- Dispute Resolution: Options and Steps to Take
- Best Litigation Tools and Tactics
- Strategies to Reduce Risk and Liability for Insurance Carriers
