Michelle Burton is Managing Partner of Burton Kelley, LLP. Her decades of experience include complex coverage analysis, successful trial and appellate work, as well as client training in a range of subjects. Before forming Burton Kelley, she ran the successful practice of Shoecraft Burrton LLP for sixteen years.  Ms. Burton has long-term clients who appreciate her tireless dedication to serving their legal needs and delivering consistently excellent legal results. Ms. Burton is the past President of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers where she started the Civility Committee which is now state-wide project.

Known as Ned to his friends and clients, Mr. Currie has been practicing law in the State of Mississippi since graduating from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1976.  Ned is a founder and Past President of the American College of Coverage Counsel, and was selected by Best Lawyers in America in 2021 and 2012 as Lawyer of the Year for Insurance Law, Jackson, Mississippi.  Ned was named 2021 Defense Lawyer of the Year by the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association, which also awarded him its Lifetime Achievement Award.  Ned has tried over 175 cases to verdict, including significant cases involving complex insurance coverage and bad faith issues.

Brett Carey practices in the areas of insurance coverage, bad faith, and commercial litigation.  He represents insurers in first- and third-party coverage matters, including claims involving personal and commercial lines of insurance, and claims involving extra-contractual liability and bad faith disputes.  He also has extensive experience representing insurance companies and other clients in contract disputes and claims of fraud and misrepresentation.
