Overview:
While healthcare organizations around the world grapple with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, hackers continue to bombard the busy industry with increasingly sophisticated cybercrimes. Ransomware attacks, in particular, have noticeably skyrocketed since the coronavirus outbreak started. Just this May 2020, healthcare giant Magellan Health fell victim to a ransomware attack that compromised its corporate servers. The breach happened despite the healthcare company’s operational “safety, security and reliability”.
The constant vulnerability of hospitals and healthcare facilities to ransomware attacks magnifies the inefficiency of traditional security approaches in keeping cybercriminals at bay. The healthcare industry, therefore, needs to step up its game in outsmarting these cunning attacks. In this LIVE Webcast, we partner with cybersecurity technology company CrowdStrike to provide you with a comprehensive discussion of why healthcare organizations need to go beyond the next-generation firewalls and other traditional security models in dealing with today’s biggest security issues. Discover the best risk mitigation and protection practices to leverage the benefits of a cloud-based endpoint protection platform.
This LIVE Webcast will discuss the following:
- Top Security Issues in Times of COVID-19
- Ransomware Attacks – What Makes Healthcare an Attractive Target
- Why Traditional Security No Longer Works
- Selecting an Efficient Cloud-Based Endpoint Protection Platform
- Best Risk Mitigation and Protection Practices
