Joseph “Joe” Apatov is a Member in McGlinchey’s Consumer Financial Services Litigation practice group. Based in Fort Lauderdale, Joe litigates on behalf of financial services clients in both state and federal courts, with an emphasis on defending banks, mortgage lenders and servicers, automobile finance companies, and private-label card issuers. He has worked extensively with several major consumer protection statutes, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), as well as related state laws. A substantial portion of Joe’s practice involves consumer class action litigation.

Bethany is a partner at BakerHostetler and serves as Co-Leader of its Class Action Defense practice team. She has over two decades of experience litigating class actions and complex litigation, including the defense of consumer class actions, antitrust cases, mass tort and product liability claims, data privacy matters and commercial disputes. She has significant first-chair and liaison experience in multidistrict and class litigation for global and Fortune 500 companies and product manufacturers. Bethany holds a J.D. from University of Richmond School of Law (1998) and a B.S. from the College of William and Mary (1994). In 2022, Bethany was awarded California Lawyer of the Year for Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions by The Best Lawyers in America and was named a Leading Litigator in Class Action, Antitrust and Advertising by Lawdragon.
