Cari is a licensed social worker working in community mental health for over 30 years.  She received her MSW from the University of Maryland in 1995 and worked for Johns Hopkins and Threshold Services where she served as Program Director, Rehabilitation Director and Clinic Director and Chief Operating Officer.  She has been the CEO of Cornerstone since 2012.  Ms. Guthrie has implemented multiple evidence based practices, including Integrated Treatment for Co-occurring Disorders, Motivational Interviewing, Supported Employment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.  She facilitates training and consulting on these topics in Maryland and DC. She is involved with County and State associations and advocacy.
