Overview:

Due diligence in merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions does not only involve the financial aspects of the deal. Although often overlooked, information technology (IT) is also a critical part of the process. With industries’ growing implementation of various disruptive technologies such as analytics, artificial intelligence, and big data, IT due diligence has never been more relevant.

Prudent companies know this and take the role of IT in M&A seriously. They understand that any merger or acquisition plan should include a comprehensive technology due diligence strategy that would help them mitigate potential risks and ensure successful IT integration.

In this LIVE Webcast, M&A and technology strategists Clark Sandlin (Zyrka) and Kempten Schwab (STS Capital Partners) will provide an informative and helpful discussion on the increased importance of IT in every M&A transaction. Speakers will also give particular focus on the most common IT integration complexities and how organizations can respond to these challenges.

Key Issues:

  • The Increasing Role of IT in M&A
  • IT Due Diligence: Recent Trends and Developments
  • Addressing Common Challenges
  • IT Due Diligence and Integration: Best Practices

Clark Sandlin, President/CEO
Zyrka

Hailing from Texas, Clark Sandlin has 31 years of professional technology and business experience, the seeds of which were planted when his mother bought him a Commodore 64 in the early 80’s. Working his way from his first computer job as a Help Desk Analyst at the University of Memphis, Clark now owns Zyrka, which is a technology services company that caters to Private Equity Groups, Hedge Funds, and Family Offices. As a seasoned executive, Clark is known in the industry for maximizing operational excellence and delivering trusted advisory services. Most recently, Clark has been asked to provide several due diligence reports to portfolio companies assessing potential hidden costs cybersecurity gaps and ailing infrastructures.

Clark’s Culture Index work trait assessment has measured him as an “Enterpriser” in the Visionary category: “an assertive self-starter” who “spends their waking moments on future oriented thought” and “excels at accomplishing goals that begin conceptually at first.” Clark’s talents are in seeing the big picture of private equity deals due to his ability of grasping abstract concepts, ideas and possibilities.
