Overview:
The antitrust law landscape is expected to be significantly altered under the new administration, particularly in light of the changes in the business landscape due to COVID-19. Among the key factors that companies must be aware of include changes to the focus of the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) approach in combating consolidation and monopoly power, most notably in the area of high tech antitrust. Furthermore, the proposed heightened enforcement actions in the current antitrust policy on a wider range of industries and business activities must be also carefully considered.
While these and other anticipated changes are still taking time to roll out, companies and their counsel must be vigilant in keeping track of the emerging antitrust trends. They must be proactive in reviewing and updating their antitrust compliance programs to prevent any legal liabilities.

Dr. Robert Kneuper is an Expert Economist at Info Tech, Inc. and has a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from Clemson University. Dr. Kneuper also serves as an adjunct professor at Charleston Southern University, where he teaches courses in managerial economics and corporate finance. Dr. Kneuper also has taught antitrust economics at Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
Dr. Kneuper spent over 10 years analyzing antitrust matters at the FTC where he worked extensively on a wide variety of antitrust matters. As a consultant, Dr. Kneuper has worked on numerous antitrust class action cases including price fixing cases and “pay for delay” cases.
