New Mexico CLE Requirements

Whether you’re an experienced or newly admitted New Mexico attorney, here’s what you need to know about the NM CLE rules and how to get your New Mexico CLE Requirements fulfilled with a Knowledge Group CLE Bundle.

New Mexico CLE Requirements: All attorneys admitted to practice in New Mexico shall complete twelve (12) credit hours of continuing legal education including at least two (2) credit hours of Legal Ethics or Professionalism and one (1) credit hour of Equity in Justice.

Reporting Deadline: March 1

Compliance Cycle: Annual

Approval of Programs: The Knowledge Group does not automatically submit CLE application for all our programs in New Mexico. Attendees seeking approved credits should send an email to [email protected] for more information.

New Mexico CLE Program Format: The Knowledge Group Live webcasts qualify as live courses, and Recorded webcasts qualify as self-study courses in New Mexico. There is no limit to the number of credits a New Mexico attorney can earn in these courses. View our list of Live and Recorded webcasts.

NM CLE Reporting Procedure: The Knowledge Group submits attendance report for approved courses to New Mexico MCLE.

For Newly Admitted Attorneys: Newly-admitted attorneys in the state of New Mexico are required to complete MCLE hours the first full calendar year after they are admitted.
