The Alabama State Bar’s MCLE Commission has extended its suspension of MCLE Regulation 3.1 through Dec. 31, 2022. A minimum of 6 credit hours of the 12 credit hours needed each year, as per Regulation 3.1, must be obtained through participation in on-site or live-streamed ASB-approved activities. This provision gives Alabama lawyers the freedom to complete their 12-hour annual CLE requirement—12 hours total, including 1 hour of ethics—with recognized on-demand and/or online courses.
