Alabama CLE Requirements: All attorneys admitted to practice in Alabama shall complete twelve (12) credit hours of continuing legal education including at least one (1) credit hour of ethics or professionalism.

The Knowledge Group Recorded Webcasts qualify as online Alabama CLE credits. Attorneys are limited to six (6) credit hours of online programs per reporting period. View our list of Recorded Webcasts
Reporting Procedure: The Knowledge Group submits attendance report for approved courses to Alabama Bar.
For Newly Admitted Attorneys: Newly-admitted attorneys in the state of Alabama are exempt until the end of the calendar year in which they are admitted.
COVID-19 Update: The Alabama State Bar MCLE Commission has extended its suspension of MCLE Regulation 3.1 through Dec. 31, 2021. This accommodation allows Alabama attorneys the flexibility of satisfying their full annual CLE requirement (12 hours, including 1 ethics hour) with approved on-demand and/or virtual courses.
