Indiana CLE Requirements: All attorneys admitted to practice in Indiana shall complete thirty-six (36) credit hours of continuing legal education per three-year cycle, with a minimum of six (6) credits hours per year. At least three (3) of the thirty-six (36) credit hours are devoted to ethics within the three-year cycle.

Approval of Programs: The Knowledge Group does not automatically submit CLE application for all our programs in Indiana. Attendees seeking approved credits shall register at least 40 days prior to the event. Attendees may send an email to [email protected] for more information.
Program Format: The Knowledge Group webcasts qualify as distance education in Indiana. Attorneys are limited to six (6) credit hours of distance education per compliance period. View our list of LIVE Webcasts and Recorded Webcasts.
IN CLE Reporting Procedure: The Knowledge Group submits attendance report for approved courses to Indiana Commission on CLE.
For Newly Admitted Attorneys: Newly-admitted attorneys in the state of Indiana (attorneys within the first three-year cycle) are required to attend at least 6 hours of approved CLE per year and at least 36 hours of approved CLE per three-year cycle. Also, newly admitted attorneys are required to attend an approved six-hour “Applied Professionalism” program in lieu of the ethics requirement in their first three-year cycle.
The Supreme Court of Indiana permanently amended the continuing education rules regarding limits on distance education. Indiana lawyers can satisfy all or a part of their CLE requirements through distance learning approved courses.
