Vermont CLE Requirements

Whether you’re an experienced or newly admitted Vermont attorney, here’s what you need to know about the VT CLE rules and how to get your Vermont CLE Requirements fulfilled with a Knowledge Group CLE Bundle.

Vermont CLE Requirements:All attorneys admitted to practice in Vermont shall complete at least 24 hours of approved CLE credits, including at least two (2) in Ethics credits, one (1) in Attorney Wellness, and one (1) in Diversity and Inclusion

Compliance Deadline: June 30

Reporting Deadline: July 1

Compliance Cycle: Biennial

Approval of Programs: The Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Board has approved The Knowledge Group as an accredited sponsor of CLEs in Vermont.

Program Format: The Knowledge Group LIVE Webcasts qualify as live programs in Vermont. There is no limit to the number of credits a Vermont attorney can earn via live programs. View our list of LIVE Webcasts.

The Knowledge Group Recorded Webcasts qualify as self-study in Vermont. Attorneys are limited to ten (10) credit hours of self-study per reporting period. View our list of Recorded Webcasts.

VT CLE Reporting Procedure: The Knowledge Group does not submit attendance report to Vermont Board of CLE. It is the responsibility of the attorney to keep track of his/her CLE credits.

Vermont CLE Requirements For Newly Admitted Attorneys: Newly-admitted attorneys in the state of Vermont are given an additional period of time to complete their CLE for their first reporting period.
