The Knowledge Group, LLC., NASBA Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Policies

The Knowledge Group, LLC is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.nasbaregistry.org.

Record Retention Policy

The Knowledge Group will keep all documents relating to the program for at least five years from the date of the program. These records will include the following:

  • Dates and locations of program offerings
  • Speakers/instructors’ names and credentials. For the CPA and tax attorney, we maintain the state of licensure, license number and status of license. For the enrolled agent acting in such capacity for tax program(s), we maintain information regarding the enrolled agent number.
  • Number of CPE credits earned by participants
  • Results of program evaluations
  • Program descriptive materials (course announcement information)

Cancellation/Refund Policy

For single event registration, cancellation requests must be sent via email to [email protected] with “Cancellation” in the subject. Refunds will be issued if the cancellation request is made on or prior to 2 weeks before the event. Cancellation requests made after that date will entitle the registrant to receive a full recording of the event 24-48 hours after the live webcast. Alternatively, if the registrant has a scheduling conflict and cannot attend the live event, the registration fee may be transferable or may be credited to another employee within the same organization so he/she may participate in the live event.

For On-demand Courses, State Bundles, Monthly/Annual All-Access passes and multiple credit bundles, a full refund can be given once the written request has been received as outlined above. Your full refund will be processed within 24-48 working hours.  Please note that a full refund cannot be guaranteed following the issue of continuing education credit, certificate of attendance or any other form of proof-of-study following the completion of any post webcast material.

Complaint Resolution Policy

At The Knowledge Group, we are committed to offer quality service to all our participants and clients. Complaints should be resolved when they arise. Our process of resolving complaints and grievances ensures that all such concerns are addressed fairly, efficiently and as quickly as possible.

When you decide to make a complaint, please provide us with the following information in order for us to be able to satisfactorily resolve your complaint:

  • Your full name and contact information
  • A clear description of the issue or concern
  • The date and time of the incident (if applicable)
  • Any relevant documentation or correspondence related to the complaint

When The Knowledge Group receives a complaint, it shall do so by sending an acknowledgement letter within 5 working days of receipt. Once a complaint is received, it will be reviewed and investigated by our team. We intend to resolve all complaints within 10 business days. If more time is needed, we will inform the complainant of the reason for the delay and provide an updated resolution timeframe.

Upon completing the review, The Knowledge Group will provide the complainant with an email response outlining the outcome of the investigation and detail any actions taken or solutions offered to address the complaint. If the complainant is not satisfied with the outcome or resolution, they may request an escalation of the complaint by reaching out to [email protected] or calling 646-844-0020 ext. 114 for further review. The matter will then be referred to a senior management team member for further evaluation.

This Complaint Resolution Policy will be reviewed annually to ensure its effectiveness and compliance with the best practices.
