Oregon CLE Requirements

Whether you’re an experienced or newly admitted Oregon attorney, here’s what you need to know about the OR CLE rules and how to get your Oregon CLE Requirements fulfilled with a Knowledge Group CLE Bundle.

Oregon CLE Requirements: All attorneys admitted to practice in Oregon shall complete forty-five (45) credit hours of continuing legal education including at least five (5) credit hours of ethics or professionalism and one (1) credit in child abuse or elder abuse reporting. Also, in alternate reporting periods, three (3) of the 45 required credits must be in access to justice credit.

Compliance Deadline: April 30

Reporting Deadline: May 31

Compliance Cycle: Every three years

Approval of Programs: The Knowledge Group does not automatically submit CLE application for all our programs in Oregon. Attendees seeking approved credits should send an email to [email protected] for more information.

Program Format: The Knowledge Group webcasts fulfill the CLE requirements in Oregon. There is no limit to the number of credits an Oregon attorney can earn via TKG’s webcasts. View our list of LIVE Webcasts and Recorded Webcasts.

OR CLE Reporting Procedure: The Knowledge Group submits attendance report for approved courses to Oregon State Bar.

Oregon CLE Requirements For Newly Admitted Attorneys: Newly admitted attorneys in the state of Oregon shall start their first reporting period on the date of admission as an active member and shall end on December 31 of the next calendar year. All subsequent reporting periods shall be three years.
