Mississippi CLE Requirements: All attorneys admitted to practice in Mississippi shall complete twelve (12) credit hours of continuing legal education including at least one (1) credit hour of legal ethics, professional responsibility, professionalism, malpractice prevention, substance abuse or mental health.

Approval of Programs: The Knowledge Group does not automatically submit CLE application for all our programs in Mississippi. Attendees seeking approved credits should send an email to [email protected] for more information.
Mississippi CLE Program Format: The Knowledge Group webcasts qualify as distance learning programs in Mississippi. Attorneys are limited to six (6) credit hours of distance learning programs per compliance period. View our list of LIVE Webcasts and Recorded Webcasts.
MS CLE Reporting Procedure: The Knowledge Group submits attendance report for approved courses to Mississippi Commission on CLE.
For Newly Admitted Attorneys: Mississippi attorneys admitted from and after August 1, 2015 shall attend or complete a new-lawyer program approved by the Commission on Continuing Legal Education, which shall be comprised of a total of twelve (12) actual hours of CLE to include six (6) hours of basic skills training and six (6) hours of ethics/professionalism. Completion of the new-lawyer program shall satisfy the CLE requirement for both the CLE year of admission and the next succeeding CLE year. COVID-19 Update: Due to the continued issues concerning Covid-19, the Mississippi Supreme Court has ordered that the limit on CLE credit earned though online programs has been temporarily removed. For the 2021-2022 CLE reporting year, attorneys may complete their CLE obligations through online, webinars or live, in-person programs. This provision includes newly admitted lawyers who are to complete the program by July 31, 2022. These attorneys may also complete this program through online, webinars or live, in-person programs.
