Kansas CLE Requirements

Whether you’re an experienced or newly admitted Kansas attorney, here’s what you need to be in the know about the KS CLE rules and how to get your Kansas CLE Requirements fulfilled with a Knowledge Group CLE Bundle.

Kansas CLE Requirements: All attorneys admitted to practice in Kansas shall complete twelve (12) credit hours of continuing legal education including at least two (2) credit hours of ethics and professionalism.

Compliance Deadline: June 30

Reporting Deadline: July 31

Compliance Cycle: Annual

KS CLE Approval of Programs: The Knowledge Group does not automatically submit CLE application for all our programs in Kansas. Attendees seeking approved credits should send an email to [email protected] for more information.

Program Format: The Knowledge Group webcasts qualify as non-traditional programming in Kansas. Attorneys are limited to five (5) credit hours of non-traditional programs per compliance period. View our list of LIVE Webcasts and Recorded Webcasts.

Reporting Procedure: The Knowledge Group submits attendance report for approved courses to Kansas CLE Commission.

Kansas CLE For Newly Admitted Attorneys: Newly-admitted attorneys in the state of Kansas are not required to fulfill the CLE requirement during the period prior to the first compliance period beginning after admission to practice.

COVID-19 Update: The Kansas Supreme Court issued an Administrative order that the credit hour limitation on prerecorded programming is waived for the 2021-2022 compliance period. Prerecorded programs must still meet the guidelines required for accreditation. Effective from the date this order is issued until June 30, 2022, provider applications for prerecorded programming over six hours will be considered.
