Idaho CLE Requirements

Whether you’re an experienced or newly admitted Idaho attorney, here’s what you need to be in the know about the ID CLE rules and how to get your Idaho CLE Requirements fulfilled with a Knowledge Group CLE Bundle.

Idaho CLE Requirements: All attorneys admitted to practice in Idaho shall complete thirty (30) credit hours of continuing legal education including at least three (3) credit hours of legal ethics or professional responsibility.

Compliance Deadline: December 31

Reporting Deadline: February 1

Compliance Cycle: Every three years

Approval of Programs: The Knowledge Group does not automatically submit CLE application for all our programs in Idaho. Attendees seeking approved credits should send an email to [email protected] for more information.

Program Format: The Knowledge Group LIVE Webcasts qualify as live programs in Idaho. There is no limit to the number of credits an Idaho attorney can earn via live programs. View our list of LIVE Webcasts.

The Knowledge Group Recorded Webcasts qualify as self-study programs in Idaho. Attorneys are limited to fifteen (15) credit hours of self-study per compliance period. View our list of Recorded Webcasts.

Reporting Procedure: The Knowledge Group submits attendance report for approved courses to Idaho Bar.

For Newly Admitted Attorneys: Within 12 months of admission to the Idaho State Bar, active members are required to complete at least 10 New Admittee Credit-Approved (NAC-Approved) continuing legal education (CLE) credits. The NAC-Approved CLE credits completed by an attorney in his or her first year of admission to the ISB will be counted towards satisfying the 30 CLE credit hour requirement.
