Arkansas CPE Requirements

Whether you’re an experienced or newly admitted Arkansas accountant, here’s what you need to be in the know about the AR CPE rules and how to get your Arkansas CPE Requirements fulfilled with a Knowledge Group CPE Bundle.

 

CPE Requirements: All accountants admitted to practice in Arkansas shall complete 40 hours of CPA CPE in the 12 months immediately preceding license expiration
OR 120 hours in the immediately preceding 36 months
Subject Area Requirements
CPA Ethics: At least 4 hours of ethics CPE in the past 3 years
State Law: 1 hour of the 4 required ethics hours, must be in Arkansas laws and rules. Complete a free, web-based course via the Board’s website.
Accounting/Auditing: Obtain a minimum of 20% of hours in Accounting/Auditing if CPA is performing attests or compilation services.
Minimum of 50% of the CE hours must be in Accounting/Attest, Accounting Ethics or Tax
License Renewal: 1/1, annually
Reporting Period: 1/1 – 12/31, annually
Compliance Cycle: Annual
Approval of Programs: The Knowledge Group meet the NASBA/AICPA CPE Standards for Group-Internet Based Courses.
The Knowledge Group, LLC is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority of the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit.
