Considering the high-investment setting for technological inventions today, many companies anticipate an active monetization of standard-essential patents (SEPs). Because of this, businesses seeking to mitigate risks while maximizing revenue now turn to SEPs licensing. However, it has never been an easy task because of the discourse on which patents are essential and which are not, particularly in negotiating for royalties, portfolio value, and infringement claims.

With this growing trend, SEP-related litigations and infringement also increase. The lack of a public database for verified SEPs further complicates the process making it more important for companies and related practitioners to be conversant with the emerging developments in this area of law.

Join a panel of thought leaders organized by The Knowledge Group as they delve into a wide-range discussion of effective SEP implementation and enforcement. With a particular focus on licensing, litigating, and risk management, the speakers will discuss the current trends, issues, and developments in this ever-changing landscape.

This LIVE Webcast will discuss the following key provisions:

  • Standard Essential Patents (SEPs) Implementation
  • Key Factors to Consider for SEP Licensing
  • Key Challenges During SEP Litigation
  • Practical Strategies in Managing SEP Enforcement
  • An Outlook of What’s Ahead
