The high level of stress and heavy workloads in the legal industry are drastically impacting the mental health of legal professionals. While the alarming rise in the number of affected lawyers has sparked preventive measures to nurture their mental health, other issues like stigma and fear of the negative implications on their careers are what hold lawyers back from speaking up. Thus, fostering awareness of the mental health challenges facing the profession and highlighting solutions are critical in upholding a meaningful workplace culture and work-life balance among lawyers.

In this CLE Webcast, The Knowledge Group presents ardent mental health and well-being advocate Mark Yacano (Major, Lindsey & Africa) and mental healthcare practitioner Atty. Carolyn Reinach Wolf (Abrams Fensterman, LLP) for an in-depth discussion of emerging mental health issues in the legal profession. The distinguished speakers will also share practical tips and effective strategies to manage the mental well-being of lawyers.

Key topics that will be covered in this discussion are:

  • Mental Well-Being in the Legal Industry: Trends and Statistics
  • The Impact of Poor Mental Well-Being in the Legal Profession
  • Other Challenges and Critical Issues
