Broadcast Date: Thursday, June 01, 2023

Overview:

The risk of fraud is ever-present; be it intentional or unintentional. Does defining fraud limit its actual scope? Have laws evolved to the extent that they incorporate every possible tactic being utilized by key players including insureds, experts, professionals, service providers, etc.? Fraud has many colors, and this underscores the need for insurers to recognize different fraud schemes and adopt a fraud risk strategy to help address susceptibility.

Join Attorneys Kenneth P. Williams and A. Solomon Luwoye as they provide a comprehensive discussion of fraud risks in the current insurance ecosystem. Ken and Solomon, among other things, will also offer practical tips and strategies to mitigate pitfalls.

Key issues that will be covered include:

  • Defending fraud on a broader scope including real life case examples
  • The impact of fraud on carriers
  • Strategy for litigating fraud cases including ways experts commit fraud and how judges handle fraud cases
